When editing the page switch to source instead of being in visual and the info will be at the top of the page. Make sure to watch what you are changing/editing to not change the code and break the box.
I recently joined this wiki, and on most pages I see that if a creature or anything that has its own page is mentioned, it would be highlighted. If you clicked it, it would bring you to its own wiki page.
I'm quite brainless when it comes to new things, can I have some kind of mini introduction to this wiki?
Haha, don't worry about it! As for the hyperlinks, you can highlight whatever you want to link up then hit the third button at the top to add the link and just change the target page field for whichever article you want it to point to. Sometimes switching to source mode rather than visual using tabs at the top right can help you figure out how to replicate formatting on other pages (but sometimes it only makes it more confusing!)
As far as I can tell, that's one of the most complicated things to do here. Adding pictures and videos is done using the buttons under the 'add features' tab to the right. Other than that, it might do you well to check out the edit help page for the basic page guide.
Hope I was some help! If you run into any more problems then give me a shout.
By the way, thank you for teaching me how to do the hyperlink technique.
To the real problem, when I try to correct spelling or add a little something to certain pages, it sometimes says at the top that the page has been locked to prevent editing. Some examples are Kootra's Quotes and Sly's Currently Ongoing Games.
I get that too. You can still edit even though that pops up, it seems to just be a precaution that appears for everybody to warn those who aren't logged in or such like. Try and make the edit and see if it does go through.
I have a hunch that this Saturday Sp00ns face will be revealed on CT as he's there for the week and they always have big announcements on CT. Anyway I'm bringing this up because I know I'm sounding like a massive dick here but if I could get credit on the picture of him a couple of days ago on the Wiki
What do you mean, get credit for the image? If you uploaded the image and it goes onto the page then sure, whatever, it comes up automatically (I've been wondering how to get rid of that actually) but you're not the first one to see that picture nor upload it here so you have no particular claims to that picture.
Ah, don't worry. Each Creature's trivia section begins with a link to their trivia page, it's to reduce the ridiculous amount of clutter we used to have. I would appreciate people at least glancing the policy page though.
I've contacted some Creatures about the wiki a couple of times but nothing's come of it. Other admins have talked to them before but lately we haven't heard anything aside from the general dislike for wiki business...
